Workspace settings apply globally to all members and dashboards in your workspace. Only Admins can access and modify these settings. To open them, go to Settings → Workspace.
Your workspace name appears across the Vizdom UI — in the top navigation, email notifications, and shared dashboard headers.Your workspace slug is the URL-safe identifier used in shared links and embeds. For example, a slug of acme-corp produces links like:
https://app.vizdom.ai/acme-corp/dashboards/...
To update either:
1

Go to Settings → Workspace → General

Open the General tab in your workspace settings.
2

Edit the name or slug fields

Type a new name or slug. Slugs must be lowercase, contain only letters, numbers, and hyphens, and be unique across Vizdom.
3

Save changes

Click Save. Name changes take effect immediately. Slug changes update all shared links — previous URLs will redirect for 30 days.
If you change your slug, update any embedded dashboard URLs or bookmarks before the 30-day redirect expires.
The workspace timezone controls how date values are grouped and displayed across all dashboards, filters, and scheduled reports. Individual users cannot override this setting.
1

Go to Settings → Workspace → General

Open workspace settings and scroll to the Date & Time section.
2

Select a timezone

Choose a timezone from the dropdown. All standard IANA timezone names are supported (for example, America/New_York or Europe/Berlin).
3

Save

Click Save. Dashboards will reflect the new timezone on next load. Existing scheduled reports pick up the change on their next run.
Set the timezone to match where your primary audience is located, not necessarily where your servers are.
When a visualization displays monetary values, Vizdom uses the workspace’s default currency format to determine symbol, decimal separator, and thousands grouping.
1

Go to Settings → Workspace → General

Scroll to the Formatting section.
2

Choose a currency

Select a currency from the dropdown (for example, USD, EUR, GBP). Vizdom will apply the standard locale formatting for that currency.
3

Save

Click Save. Changes apply to new charts and to any existing charts that use the currency format type.
Individual chart editors can override currency formatting per-visualization. The workspace default is used when no override is set.
Session timeout controls how long an inactive user session stays authenticated before Vizdom signs the user out automatically.
1

Go to Settings → Workspace → Security

Open the Security tab in workspace settings.
2

Set the timeout duration

Enter a value in minutes. The minimum is 15 minutes; the maximum is 10,080 minutes (7 days). The default is 480 minutes (8 hours).
3

Save

Click Save. The new timeout applies to all sessions created after the change. Existing active sessions are not affected until they next authenticate.
For workspaces handling sensitive data, consider setting a shorter timeout (60–120 minutes) to reduce exposure from unattended sessions.
The audit log records security and configuration events across your workspace. Admins can review the log to track who made changes and when.Events logged include:
  • Member logins and logouts (including failed login attempts)
  • Member invitations, role changes, and removals
  • Dashboard created, edited, published, and deleted
  • Data source connected, edited, and removed
  • Workspace settings changes (name, slug, timezone, security settings)
  • API key generated and revoked
Accessing the audit log:
1

Go to Settings → Audit Log

The audit log is visible only to Admins.
2

Filter by date range or event type

Use the filters at the top of the log to narrow results by time period, user, or event category.
3

Export the log (optional)

Click Export as CSV to download a full log export for compliance or archiving purposes.
Audit logs are retained for 12 months on paid plans. Free plan workspaces retain logs for 30 days.
Deleting a workspace is permanent and cannot be undone. All dashboards, visualizations, datasets, data source connections, and member records will be immediately and irreversibly deleted. Export any data you need before proceeding.
1

Go to Settings → Workspace → General

Scroll to the bottom of the General tab.
2

Click Delete Workspace

This button is only available to the workspace owner.
3

Confirm deletion

Type your workspace slug in the confirmation dialog to confirm. Click Delete permanently.
If you need to remove access rather than delete the workspace, consider removing members or transferring ownership instead.
