Integrations

Vizdom integrates with external services to help you deliver dashboard snapshots, send automated reports, and trigger workflows. To manage integrations, go to Settings → Integrations.

Connect Vizdom to a Slack workspace to receive dashboard snapshots and alert notifications directly in Slack channels.

Open the Slack integration

Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack and click Connect Slack.

Authorize via OAuth

You’ll be redirected to Slack to authorize Vizdom. Sign in to the Slack workspace you want to connect, then click Allow.

Select default channels

After authorization, you’ll return to Vizdom. Choose one or more default Slack channels where notifications should be sent.

Configure notifications

On any dashboard, open Share → Schedule or Alerts to choose which events send a message to Slack (for example, alert triggered, scheduled snapshot).

You can connect multiple Slack workspaces. Each dashboard alert or schedule can target a different channel.

Disconnecting SlackGo to Settings → Integrations → Slack and click Disconnect. This removes the OAuth token and stops all Slack notifications immediately.

By default, Vizdom sends scheduled reports and alert emails from a shared Flowstate AI address. You can configure a custom SMTP server to send these emails from your own domain.

Open the Email integration

Go to Settings → Integrations → Email (SMTP) and click Configure SMTP.

Enter your SMTP server details

Fill in the following fields:

Password	Your SMTP password or app password
From name	`Vizdom Alerts`
From address	`alerts@yourcompany.com`

Send a test email

Click Send test email to verify the configuration. Check that the test email arrives at your inbox.

Save

Click Save. All future scheduled reports and alert emails will be sent using your SMTP server.

If your email provider requires app-specific passwords (such as Gmail or Outlook), generate one in your email account settings and use it as the SMTP password.

Supported encryptionVizdom supports STARTTLS (port 587) and SSL/TLS (port 465). Plain (unencrypted) connections are not supported.

alert.triggered — a data alert crossed its threshold
report.sent — a scheduled report was delivered
member.invited — a new member was invited to the workspace

Open the Webhooks integration

Go to Settings → Integrations → Webhooks and click Add endpoint.

Enter your endpoint URL

Provide the HTTPS URL that Vizdom should POST events to. The endpoint must return a 2xx status code within 10 seconds.

Select events to subscribe to

Check the events you want this endpoint to receive. You can register multiple endpoints with different event subscriptions.

Save and test

Click Save. Use the Send test event button to confirm your endpoint is receiving requests correctly.

Vizdom signs each webhook request with an X-Vizdom-Signature header so you can verify the payload is authentic. See the webhooks API reference for signature verification details and full event payload schemas.

RetriesIf your endpoint returns a non-2xx response or times out, Vizdom retries the delivery up to 5 times with exponential backoff over 24 hours.
